The discussion will be moderated by researcher/writer Cheng Jia Yun.
Giving Manna to the Ghosts - A Performance Lecture

The performance lecture is a continued response to the personal Eurasian folk stories explored in the film, Saudade. Through a reconstruction of three short tales, filmmaker Russell Morton examines stories passed down to him from his family and imagines their shared origins and histories through three objects.

Catch Pat Toh’s new performative work for the exhibition. The final session will include a post-performance discussion with performing artist and theatre practitioner, Noor Effendy Ibrahim where the two will share insights focused on the use of the body in performance. This conversation provides an introduction to Toh’s movement practice and Effendy’s responses to it, illuminating the affinities between their approaches to performance making.
